Andres Vergara '26 Awarded $25,000 Live Más Scholarship
A standout moment of the program came when Columbus senior Andres Vergara was awarded a $25,000 Taco Bell Foundation Live Más Scholarship, recognizing his drive, character, and commitment to his future.
Presented before the entire student body, the surprise announcement drew an emotional reaction from classmates and faculty, highlighting the significance of the honor and the impact of Vergara’s achievements within the Columbus community.
The Live Más Scholarship supports students who are passionate about their goals and determined to make a difference—an investment that will help propel Vergara into his next chapter.
The scholarship was presented by alumnus and Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza ’22 during his visit back to campus.
