Christopher Columbus High School proudly celebrates alumnus John D. Couriel ’96 on his election as Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court.

The Florida Supreme Court unanimously elected Justice Couriel to serve as the state’s next chief justice. He will begin his two-year term on July 1.

A member of the Class of 1996, Couriel’s achievement marks a significant milestone in a distinguished legal career and reflects the values of excellence, leadership, and service instilled at Columbus.
