  • MIAMI HERALD WINTER ALL COUNTY SELECTIONS

    Athletic Director Chris McKeon and the rest of the Columbus administration would like to congratulate the following student-athletes who garnered Miami Herald First Team All-Dade selections for their respected sports:
  • de la Viesca & Noy Win NHS Scholarship

    We’re proud to announce that Christopher de la Viesca and Adrian Noy have been selected as NHS Scholarship recipients. 
  • Track Team Wins GMAC Title

    The Columbus Track & Field team wrapped up its regular season with an outstanding team effort, winning the GMAC Championships. The team scored 175 points to finish well ahead of 2nd place Northwestern (98 points).
  • Ortega Named FBLA State Champion

    Congratulations to all the Explorers that represented Christopher Columbus High School in the highly competitive Future Business Leaders of America state conference. 
  • Debate Gives Valiant Effort

    This past weekend, the Debate Society attended 2 of the most competitive fields is has faced all year. 
  • Model UN Shows Promise in it's Inaugural Conference

    Join us in congratulating the new CCHS Model UN team, a new club brought on by the initiative of our students.
  • Guzman Win State Title

    The Columbus Wrestling Team finished in 9th place out of 56 schools competing in the FHSAA Class 3A State Championship in Kissimmee this past weekend.
  • Class of 2021 Nike Polos on Sale

    A special privilege for Columbus seniors is for them to wear a ‘Class of’ polo, and this year, the administration has chosen a black Nike Dri-FIT Polo for the Class of 2021.
  • 8 to State for Wrestling Team

    Join us in congratulating the eight Explorer wrestlers that will advance on to the FHSAA Class 3A State Championship this coming weekend in Kissimmee, Florida.
  • Anglers Club Beach Cleanup

    This past Saturday, the Anglers Club completed its annual beach cleanup and fishing clinic.

    As we move forward in this unconventional school year, fostering the bonds of brotherhood and offering exciting opportunities for our students to come together and enjoy quality time on campus is imperative. For this reason, the Student Activities Committee and Campus Ministry will be hosting Junior Field Day on Wednesday, March 10th.
  • Baseball Student-Athletes Sign on the Dotted Line

    Eight Christopher Columbus High School baseball players signed on the dotted line to officially commit to the school of their choice as they continue their athletic and academic careers.
  • Freshmen Field Day & Retreat

    We are so excited to have so many of our freshmen joining us for FIELD DAY & RETREAT on Tuesday! 
  • Columbus Debate Update

    Last Thursday, CCHS Debate Novices competed in the South Florida Civics and Debate Initiative Novice competition...and we showed out!
  • Winner-Takes-All Bass Fishing Tournament

    This past weekend, the Anglers Club hosted its second bass fishing tournament of the year titled Winner-Takes-All.
  • Track Team Finishes 2nd at Louie Bing

    The Columbus track team competed at the Louie Bing Invitational and finished in 2nd place (90 points) out of 35+ schools.
  • Wrestling Team Finishes 2nd in District Tournament

    The Varsity wrestlers competed in the FHSAA District Tournament this past weekend at Southwest Miami Senior High School and finished in 3rd place behind South Dade and host Southwest.
  • CCNN Live Nationals Results

    Over Presidents’ Day weekend, the CCNN team competed in the virtual Student Television Network convention.

    Last Saturday, the Anglers Club hosted its first bass fishing tournament of the year titled All-or-Nothing.

    We are proud to report that CCNN Live just won a National Emmy in Light News for the piece we produced on Jason Hill, Kevin Cordero and their family.

  • Explorers Finish 3rd at GMAC Tournament

    After two days of tough competition, the Explorers wrestling team finished 3rd out of 32 teams at the Greater Miami Athletic Conference Tournament held at Coral Reef Senior High School.

  • Debaters Perform Well at 2 Tournaments

    This weekend we attended two tournaments, a regional tourney hosted by McCarthur, and a national tourney hosted by Columbia University. A big shout out to the following explorers who compete their tails off this weekend.

  • 5 More Football Players Commit to Colleges

    Join us in congratulating and celebrating the 5 Class of 2021 Explorers who signed National Letters of Intent or committed to fill preferred walk-ons roles during our Signing Day ceremony in Br. Eugene’s Plaza:

  • FBLA District 25 Results

    Approximately 1000 students competed in the District 25 Competition the week of February 18th and our Explorers had fabulous results dominating many of the categories!

    Since many people might have upgraded their phones during the holidays, we are asking that our parents perform a quick check to ensure they're ready to receive any emergency alerts from us on the In-telligent app.
  • Spring Semester Blood Drive

    We are so grateful for the response to the Fall blood drive by students, faculty, staff and parents. 

  • NHS Members Serve at San Juan Bosco

    Before the Christmas break, members of the National Honor Society served the San Juan Bosco Children’s Leadership Learning Center by preparing and distributing food and gift bags, as well as decorating and cleaning up the parish hall where the distribution took place.
