FAITH & MISSION
To Make Jesus Known & Loved
Columbus follows St. Marcellin Champagnat's vision to lead young people to the experience of personal faith and of their vocation as good Christians and virtuous citizens. The Department of Faith and Mission is the spiritual heart of Columbus, with a space where faith is awakened, deepened, and lived out in community. Inspired by the Marist charism of St. Marcellin Champagnat, we strive to form young men of compassion, conviction, and service.
Whether it’s through retreats, masses, service initiatives, spiritual companionship, or everyday moments of reflection, our ministry team works to ensure that every student has the opportunity to not only know who Jesus is, but to truly come to love Him.
Who We Are
Campus Ministers
Our adult Campus Ministers are a dedicated team of lay men, lay women, and Marist Brothers who accompany students on their faith journey. Together, they provide spiritual guidance, meaningful experiences of prayer and reflection, and help integrate Catholic identity into the daily life of the school. Grounded in prayer and community, their role is to walk with students and staff in growing closer to God.
Peer Ministers
Peer Ministers are our student faith leaders who help bring the Gospel to life on campus. These young men play a key role in the spiritual leadership of the school by:
- Leading retreats
- Organizing and serving at school liturgies
- Assisting in our weekly Marist Youth gatherings
- Carrying out service learning initiatives
- Creating spaces for prayer, reflection, and brotherhood
Through their witness and example, Peer Ministers help shape the faith culture of Columbus from the inside out.
