There are many ways to volunteer and collect hours towards your Christopher Columbus High School graduation requirement. Below you will find some opportunities that go on throughout the school year as well as on specific dates/times.       • Assist teachers with daily activities
      • Assist teachers when on field trips
      • Assist art instructor with daily class activities

    • Weekends at Miami Children's Museum

      DESCRIPTION OF VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES:
      • Gallery Gurus: You will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the daily operations of the Museum as you interact with our guests. Gallery gurus are responsible for ensuring our guests have the best experience possible. 
      • Birthday Buddy: Help children celebrate their birthdays at the Museum. 
      • Art Studio Volunteer: Help our Studio Artist in our art studio. Prep art activities for our visitors and outreach programs. 
      • Exhibits Volunteer: Be a part of the creativity and dynamic processes behind the success of the Museum experiences. Imagine, plan, develop, design and test the always changing exhibits. 
       
      OTHER INFORMATION: 
      Volunteers must be 16 years old minimum
      The next volunteer orientation is October 21st from 10:00am to 11:30am

    • Blue Missions 2019

      Applications for Blue Missions 2019 opens on October 1st at 4 pm. 
       
      Information Sessions
      Blue Missions will hold two information sessions.  Learn how to apply on time and correctly to secure a spot. 
      • Informational Session #1: September 12 at 7 pm
      • Informational Session #2: September 24 at 7:30 pm 
      Both sessions will be held at:

    • Volunteer with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (Miami Chapter)

      The NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Miami chapter is looking for high school students to commit a minimum of 3 hours of community service per week per semester.

    • Palmetto Subacute Care Center

      Palmetto Subacute Care Center  is a 95-bed Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitative Facility that cares for patients with post-acute and chronic illness.
