COLUMBUS CONNECTS
Mentoring Program

The Mentoring program was designed to take advantage of our vast alumni base in order to enhance the careers of our young alumni and was created as an expansion of the “Columbus Connects” brand. The success of the program requires a commitment from both the Mentor and the Mentee.
The main goal will be to pair alumni that graduated from Columbus within the last 10 years with an alumnus in their respective field of interest with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
The following is what will be suggested of the Mentor-Mentee Relationship:
-
Minimum meeting of 1 hour per month (in person or via telephone).
-
Minimum in-person meeting once every 3 months.
-
Mentee to outline what they would like to get out of the relationship and learn from their mentor.
The program officially launched in the Fall of 2014 with a networking event where Mentors and Mentees met for the first time. We are looking for alumni in all fields (banking, finance, medicine, law, accounting, engineering, politics, healthcare, IT, education, professional sports, etc.).

Career Day
THE BROTHERHOOD GIVES BACK

Each year, we host Columbus Connects Career Day—an inspiring event that brings our junior class together with alumni representing a wide range of professions. Students attend two interactive sessions during class periods and have the unique opportunity to connect with alumni speakers afterwards. This fall, more than 50 alumni returned to campus to share their experiences in fields such as law, engineering, business, real estate, and education. We are truly fortunate to have such dedicated alumni who generously give their time to provide current Explorers with invaluable career guidance and inspiration.
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who helped make the 2024 Career Day one of our most impactful and successful events yet!
We would love more Christopher Columbus High School alumni to participate in our next Career Day.
This is a great way for you to reconnect and influence future Explorers. We are looking for graduates who are working in any of the following fields:
- Engineering
- Computer Sciences
- The Arts
- Law
- Social Services
