The Columbus Track & Field Team placed 2nd at the FHSAA State Finals on Saturday, May 9, 2009. The team was led by sophomore Armando del Valle who won the individual State Title in the 1600m. This was the Explorers best track and field season having won their first GMAC track championship and the first regional title since 1975.
