Columbus Among First to Offer Innovative E-Learning System
to Help Students Prepare for Standardized Tests

Through the collaboration with our standardized test preparation partner Prepworks who has now partnered with Remote-Learner, LLC, one of the world’s largest e-learning companies, Columbus will be introducing a dynamic test prep e-learning platform (E-LS) in the 2011/12 school year. It is planned that this state-of-the-art online platform will revolutionize the way students prepare for standardized tests.

The unique learning modules, based on the Moodle open-source platform, are adaptive and dynamic building blocks that are supported with an engaging multimedia instructional interface and practical administrative reports that provide school administrators a new level of visibility with which they can make curriculum adjustments to maximize student scores and improve overall college acceptance matriculation.

“Our new online programs will significantly change the student’s experience in testing,” said Ortega, Prepworks’ founder-CEO. “Additionally, school administrators, parents, and other stakeholders will have the ability to track performance and measure effective learning.”

Columbus is the first school to benefit from the new e-learning platform. More than 25 Math and English teachers were trained by Prepworks and will oversee more than 1,300 students who will use the new platform this year.
