Barry University's Science Olympiad Winners























                                        Physics Team:  Placed 3rd in the Competition                                          Michele Invernizzi - Placed 4th in Chemistry

The Columbus Physics team did exceptionally well at this year's Barry University Science Olympiad, placing THIRD overall in the competition. The team was made up of Peter Benavides, John Kitchens, Austin Nowak, Edward Watt, Patrick Weathers, Sebastian Verne and Enrique Viciana.  CCHS placed two students among the 10 best exams in the competition; Enrique Viciana (6th place) and Peter Benavides (9th place).

In addition, chemistry student, Michele Invernizzi placed FOURTH overall in the Chemistry competition.

Some of the schools that CCHS beat in this competition were:  Ransom Everglades, Miami Country Day School,
Hebrew Academy, Miami Beach, Hillel Jewish Academy (Broward), Belen Jesuit Preparatory, and Piper High School (Broward)
