600 A.P. Computer Science — Phase 5 — Dual Enrollment
this course develops the students' ability to code fluently in a well-structured fashion using the high-level languate Java. Major emphasis will be on programming methodology, algorithms and data structures. Applications of computing provide the context in which these subjects are treated. These applications will be used to develop student awareness of the need for particular algorithms and data structures, as well as to provide topics for programming assignments to which students can apply their knowledge. Five class periods and a substantial amount of individual computer lab work per week will be required. This course requires computer time before or after school. Fee required.
Prerequisite: Open to seniors who have completed a phase 4 eleventh grade math course with a grade of "B+" or better and approval of the computer science teacher.
601 Advanced Computer Science - Phase 4 — Dual Enrollment
